ISO 14001 certificate: our responsibility to protect the environment

In October 2021 Asseco Lithuania received a certificate confirming that its Environmental management system meets the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 standard. This standard specifies the requirements to be met by organizations to achieve the goals of the environmental management system.

In fulfilling the requirements of the standard, the company undertakes to:

  • responsibly manage natural resources,
  • reduce the negative impact on the environment,
  • anticipate potential environmental threats and responsive actions,
  • improve environmental performance by managing its business processes,
  • comply with legal requirements,
  • communicate environmental awareness to stakeholders.

In this way, we strive to strengthen customer confidence in the company, maintain a good corporate image and gain a competitive advantage in both domestic and foreign markets.

Environmental protection is a common concern within the Asseco Group. In 2020 Asseco Poland and Asseco Data Systems started with the initiative #BusinessWithoutPaper. This initiative consists of activities to reduce paper consumption and promote development of digital services.

“Asseco Lithuania uses its proprietary Avilys document management system, that significantly contributes to paper reduction and more efficient work with documents and processes. In 2020 almost half of the documents in our DMS system were electronic and this number is growing every year,” notes Albertas Šermokas, the CEO of the company.

Asseco Lithuania’s quality management system conforms to ISO 9001 standard requirements. Since 2017 the company has been granted ISO 27001 certificate stating that its Information security management system meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001 standard.
