More electronic migration services

In January 2021, Asseco Lietuva completed development and deployment of the external portal of the Lithuanian Migration Information System (MIGRIS). The scope of MIGRIS system is to provide electronic services to foreigners and natural & legal persons of the Republic of Lithuania in order to make migration procedures as simple and smooth as possible for them.

From now on, electronic migration services are provided on the portal www.migracija.lt. Since October 2019 foreign citizens have already been able to book on the MIGRIS portal visits to the territorial divisions of the Migration Department and submit applications for a residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania electronically. Since February this year new e-services have been added: persons can report lost documents and receive information about valid documents of themselves and their minor children, submit mediation letters for Schengen or multiple-entry national visas,  issuing/changing of temporary residence permit, changing of the employer or job function with the same employer.

Currently, development of the MIGRIS internal system is going on - a module of foreigners with interests in Lithuania and integrations with the related systems are being developed. This part will make it easier for foreigners to get services and help the Migration Department and related institutions to work more efficiently. These works are planned to be completed in April 2021.
